What is an inbox placement test?
It sends your email to seed mailboxes across major providers (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, AOL, GMX, T-Online, Mail.ru, Yandex) plus our Spam Analyzer mailbox (SpamAssassin + Rspamd + DMARC + DNS checks), and reports where each copy landed — Inbox, Spam, Promotions or Not received. The deliverability equivalent of a smoke test.
Is this test really free?
Yes, completely free. Up to 3 tests per email and 10 tests per IP per day, no signup required.
Do I need to paste my draft?
No. The pre-send spam-score is computed automatically from the same email you send to the seed mailboxes — so we analyze exactly what spam filters saw. No paste form. No duplicate content. The score appears on the same report page alongside inbox placement.
What is the pre-send spam score based on?
Three layers: (1) rule-based — weighted stop-word dictionary, HTML structure checks (size, image/text ratio, alt-tags, unsubscribe, CAN-SPAM address), authentication records for your sender domain; (2) optional LLM pass rating tone, trust and templated-feel with results cached by body hash so identical drafts don't re-charge; (3) link safety — redirects, HTTPS, SSL validity, Google Safe Browsing.
How long does a test take?
Most results arrive within 30 seconds to 2 minutes. The page updates live via SSE as each seed mailbox receives the email. Seeds that never receive the message are marked Not received after ~15 minutes.
Which providers are tested?
All 9 providers are available on the free tier: Gmail, Outlook (Microsoft 365 / Hotmail / Live), Yahoo Mail, iCloud Mail, AOL Mail, GMX, T-Online, Mail.ru and Yandex — plus the Spam Analyzer diagnostic mailbox. You pick which ones to include; each selected provider contributes exactly one seed mailbox to the test.
Do you store my email or test content?
No. We only record folder placement and authentication results (SPF/DKIM/DMARC). Subjects, senders and message content are never stored. All test records are purged after 7 days.
Can my AI agent run these tests?
Yes — the paid REST API with Bearer keys lets Claude, Cursor and other LLM clients run inbox-placement tests programmatically, with per-key quotas and optional webmail screenshots.
