Saleshandy: Separate Sender and Content Variables

To investigate a Saleshandy placement difference, change the sender or the content in a comparison, not both at once.

To investigate a Saleshandy placement difference, change the sender or the content in a comparison, not both at once. Start with a fixed sequence step and rendered prospect data, then compare account routes. Only after that baseline should you compare content variants through the same sender. This makes the next diagnostic decision more defensible.

Define the baseline precisely

Record the sequence, step, variant, From account, subject, signature and tracking settings. Choose non-sensitive prospect fixture values and save the rendered copy. Saleshandy's preview and test documentation explains that prospect selection supplies personalization data; entering another recipient address does not necessarily substitute that recipient's personal details into the test.

Check the fixture explicitly rather than treating an unexpected first name as a delivery defect. A test addressed to your colleague can legitimately display a selected prospect's values. The important question is whether those values match the intended fixture and whether the actual campaign will use the correct record.

Stage one: compare sender routes

Keep a single message version and send it through two intended accounts in separately identifiable runs. Preserve the signature where possible, or document a required mailbox-specific signature as another difference. Note the provider and connection method so two accounts using different infrastructure are not described as a pure address-only experiment.

Create the corresponding LDM tests and use each run's current recipients. Keep recipient-provider coverage and observation timing comparable. Submit fresh originals through the relevant Saleshandy path; forwarding an existing message adds another route and cannot verify the original account's behavior.

If the copies differ unexpectedly, inspect their rendered HTML and authentication evidence before proceeding. An account-level signature or text-only setting can create a content difference inside what you thought was a sender comparison.

Stage two: compare content

Use one account and retain the baseline. Create a second variant that changes a defined feature, such as an optional calendar URL or a shorter opening paragraph. Keep other content and tracking settings stable. Saleshandy supports selecting sequence steps and variants for its documented placement workflow, but your external observation should still identify the exact version submitted.

A different subject, shortened body and removed tracking together describe a new message configuration. They do not let you conclude which individual change mattered. If multiple changes are operationally necessary, record them honestly and narrow the causal claim.

Keep operational evidence separate

For each run, retain the sender submission outcome, timestamp and available message reference. Then record LDM's observed recipient, folder and measurement time. A queue delay or submission rejection needs sender-side investigation; it must not become a Spam count merely because no copy is visible yet.

Promotions or another category is a received location with its own meaning. Keep it separate from primary Inbox and Spam. Report coverage as well as placement so that a comparison with several missing observations does not look artificially strong.

Stop any temporary sequence once the planned messages are submitted. Test recipients should not become a permanent audience or receive later automated follow-ups. This guide describes a controlled workflow, not a performed send or a native integration.

Limit the conclusion

A small panel cannot tell you whether sender reputation or content is the sole cause. It can reveal whether a difference follows a controlled configuration in those observations. Repeat a justified comparison before making broad operational changes, and combine the findings with legitimate campaign bounce and complaint evidence.

Frequently asked questions

Why did my test use another prospect's name?

Check the selected prospect data in preview. The destination address and personalization fixture are separate controls in the documented testing workflow.

Can I compare an HTML version from one account with plain text from another?

You can describe the two configurations, but cannot attribute a difference solely to sender or format. Control one factor in a follow-up check.

Is an email score equivalent to a folder observation?

No. A content or technical score and a received mailbox location answer different questions. Keep their evidence and limitations separate.
